The happy feeling when you share and play together

One afternoon...

Oliver is playing with his robots. They go beep! Beep! Beep! Oliver has so much fun!

His friend Sophie comes over.

"Hi Oliver! Can I play with your robots?" asks Sophie.

Oliver looks at his robots. "No! They are MY robots!" says Oliver. "You cannot play with them!"

Sophie looks sad. She sits down far away from Oliver.

But something feels wrong.

Oliver plays with his robots. But it is not as fun. Sophie is sad. Oliver does not like seeing his friend sad.

Oliver thinks about it.

"Sophie?" says Oliver. "Do you want to play together?"

Sophie nods. "Yes! Can I play with your robots?"

Oliver takes a big breath.

"Okay," says Oliver. "Here is one robot for you. And one for me."

Sophie takes a robot. "Thank you, Oliver!" she says with a big smile.

Now they play together!

Oliver's robot says beep! Sophie's robot says boop! The robots dance and play!

Sophie and Oliver laugh and laugh. Playing together is SO much more fun!

They make up a game.

"The robots are going to the moon!" says Sophie.

"Yes! Let's make a moon from blocks!" says Oliver.

They build a moon together. They make stars. They make a rocket ship!

Playing together is the BEST!

Later, when it is time to go home...

Sophie hugs Oliver. "Thank you for sharing your robots! That was so fun!"

Oliver smiles. "Thank you for playing with me! Sharing made it even more fun!"

Oliver realizes something important: Sharing does not mean you have less. It means you have MORE fun and MORE friends!
