Our Story

For 7 years, I stood in front of classrooms watching children learn. I saw, again and again, that the kids who lit up fastest weren't the ones drilling worksheets for hours — they were the ones learning through play, through hands-on discovery, through toys and activities that made concepts click without feeling like "work."

Then I became a mother myself, and everything I'd seen as a teacher suddenly became personal. I wanted the same thing for my own child that I'd spent years trying to give my students — but finding it as a parent was harder than I expected. Shelves full of toys, but so few that were actually designed with real learning in mind. So much noise, so little that felt genuinely worth bringing home.

Around the same time, I started sharing parenting and learning tips on Instagram as @mommy.tales4u. What began as a handful of posts turned into hundreds of moms messaging me — the same questions, over and over. "My daughter won't sit still for anything." "How do I teach my son numbers without a screen?" "Is there anything that actually holds their attention?" Every message was a different mom, but the same struggle I'd already lived through twice — as a teacher, and as a parent.

That's the moment MommyTales Store stopped being an idea and became real. If this many moms were asking, then this many moms needed somewhere to actually find the answer — not just advice, but real products that worked. Every product here is chosen the way I chose materials for my own classroom, and now for my own child — with a simple question: will this actually help a child grow, not just keep them occupied for five minutes? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't make it onto our shelves.
