One morning...
Noah wakes up. He has a lot to do today and feels busy.
His mom gives him an apple.
"Here, Noah! A yummy apple for breakfast," says Mom.
Noah usually just eats it. But today, something is different.
Noah stops to look at the apple.
It is red and shiny. It smells fresh and sweet. When he bites it, the juice is cold and tasty!
Noah smiles.
"Thank you, Mom! This apple is delicious! I am so lucky to have food to eat!" says Noah.
Mom smiles. "That is wonderful, Noah! Gratitude makes food taste even better!"
Later, Noah goes outside.
The sun is shining bright. It is warm on his skin. The sky is bright blue.
Noah looks up.
"Wow! Thank you, Sun! You make everything so bright and warm!" says Noah out loud.
His friend Lily looks at him. "Are you saying thank you to the sun?" she asks.
"Yes! I never noticed how amazing the sun is!" says Noah.
Lily learns from Noah.
"You know what? The grass is so green. Thank you, grass!" says Lily.
"And the wind feels nice! Thank you, wind!" says Noah.
They walk together, being grateful.
They thank the birds for singing. They thank the flowers for being beautiful. They thank their feet for walking!
Soon, Noah notices everything.
His comfortable bed. His favorite toy. His puppy dog. His best friends. His family. His home.
And the more Noah notices, the happier he feels!
At bedtime...
Noah lies in bed. He thinks about all the things he is thankful for.
Food. Sunshine. Friends. Family. His home. His toys. His health. The beautiful day.
His heart feels so full and warm!
Noah learns the secret: "When you notice all the good things and say thank you, life feels more special and happy!"
Noah falls asleep with a thankful heart. And he dreams of all the wonderful things he is grateful for.
