One pretty morning...

Luna is a little fox. She wakes up in her cozy den.

Her tummy says "Rumble rumble!" She is hungry!

Luna looks for food.

She walks in the forest. She sees a squirrel up in a tree.

"Hello!" says Luna. "I am hungry!"

Nutty the squirrel smiles!

"Here!" says Nutty. "Have some acorns! They are yummy!"

Nutty drops acorns down to Luna.

Luna eats the acorns.

Munch munch munch! They are so good!

But Luna just walks away. She does not say thank you.

Later, Luna is hot and tired.

She walks and walks. The sun is very hot!

She sees Buzzy the bee.

"I am so hot!" says Luna.

"I can help!" says Buzzy. "Follow me!"

Buzzy leads Luna to a cool stream with fresh water.

Luna drinks the cold water.

Ahhhh! That feels so good!

But again, Luna just leaves. She does not say thank you.

Then Luna meets Melody the deer.

Melody looks at Luna. "Why are you always running away?" she asks kindly.

"I... I don't know," says Luna.

"Did you forget to say thank you?" asks Melody.

"Thank you?" says Luna. "What does that mean?"

Melody sits down with Luna.

"Thank you means you feel good inside," says Melody.

"It means you know someone was kind to you."

"It makes that person happy too!"

Luna understands!

"Nutty gave me food! Buzzy showed me water!"

"I should say thank you! I should show them I care!"

Luna runs back to find her friends.

She finds Nutty. "Thank you for the acorns, Nutty!"

"You are a wonderful friend!"

Nutty's eyes light up. He smiles big!

Then Luna finds Buzzy.

"Thank you, Buzzy! You helped me when I was hot!"

"I am so happy you are my friend!"

Buzzy dances in the air with joy!

Luna feels something special inside.

Her heart feels warm and full of love.

Saying thank you makes everyone happy!

All the friends sit together.

Luna, Nutty, Buzzy, and Melody sit under a big tree.

"I am grateful for all of you," says Luna.

"Grateful means I feel lucky to have you as friends."

Everyone laughs and hugs.

The forest feels full of love and happiness.

When the sun starts to set...

Luna goes home to her cozy den.

She thinks about her wonderful friends.

She smiles. Her heart is full of gratitude.
