One sunny day...
Milo is a little fox. He plays in the forest. He sees a turtle by the water.
The turtle looks sad.
Milo goes to the turtle. "Hello! What is wrong?" he asks.
"I am Shelly," says the turtle. "I want to cross the big stream. But I am scared!"
Milo has a kind idea!
"I will help you!" says Milo. "Hold on to my tail!"
Milo walks slowly. Shelly holds his tail tight. They walk across the stream together.
"Thank you, Milo!"
Shelly smiles big. "You are so kind! I am happy now!"
Milo feels warm inside. Helping feels good!
Then Milo sees a deer.
A deer is crying. "I am lost!" she says. "I cannot find my home!"
Milo remembers the forest. "Follow me!" he says.
Milo helps the deer find home.
They walk and walk. Soon they see the deer's family!
The deer hugs Milo. "Thank you! You are kind! You are my friend!"
More animals see Milo helping.
A bear is carrying heavy sticks. He looks tired.
"Can I help?" asks Milo.
The bear smiles!
"Yes! Thank you!" says the bear. "This makes it so much easier!"
Milo helps carry the sticks. Working together is fun!
All the animals sit together.
Milo, Shelly, Daisy, and Bear sit under a big tree.
"Milo," says Daisy. "You help everyone. You are very kind!"
"When we help," says Milo, "everyone is happy!"
All the friends hold hands. They laugh and laugh.
The forest is full of love and kindness.
When it is night...
Milo goes to sleep. He smiles in his dreams.
His helping hands made the day so special.
And Milo knows something special:
Being kind is the best thing you can do. It makes friends happy. It makes YOU happy too!
