Once upon a time...

There was a girl named Maya. Her school had an art contest. Maya painted a beautiful garden. She worked very hard.

But then she saw it. A tiny smudge on the flower.

"Oh no!" thought Maya.

She could hide it. No one would notice.

But something inside said, "No. That's not right."

The next day...

Maya turned in her painting with the smudge still there.

She didn't win the contest.

But her teacher said something special.

"Maya, I saw your honesty."

"That matters more than winning. You have real character."

That night, Mom hugged her.

"I'm proud of you. You chose honesty even when it was hard."

Maya smiled.

She learned: honesty feels good. Better than any trophy.
